Bill Murray and His Brother Hosting a Minor League Baseball Show

Bill Murray is teaming up with his brother to launch an online show about minor league baseball.

Bill Murray and Brian Doyle-Murray’s Extra Innings will premiere on Facebook Watch on 20 November (17) and will feature the Ghostbusters star and Brian visiting minor league clubs around the U.S., according to Variety.com.

The 10-episode unscripted comedy series will air once a week, with each episode running for about eight minutes.

Bill and Brian serve as executive producers on the show, for which the actor and sports fanatic also wrote and performed the theme song, The Thing About Baseball, alongside his brother and musician Paul Shaffer.

“(The show) is a little something to fill a baseball fan’s off-season hole in the heart,” Bill says.

“Doing this project was more fun than a bench-clearing brawl,” Brian adds. “And like a baseball bench-clearing brawl, no one got hurt!”

Murray is a longtime Chicago Cubs fan and is part owner of minor league teams St. Paul Saints and the Charleston RiverDogs.
