Bill Murray to be honoured by Wes Anderson at Rome Film Festival

Bill Murray is to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Rome Film Festival from his longtime collaborator Wes Anderson.
Wes, who has cast Bill in many of his movies, including The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Grand Budapest Hotel, will also join the Ghostbusters star on stage at the Italian film event to discuss his career.
The festival’s artistic director Antonio Monda also announced on Monday (24Jun19) that Ron Howard’s new Pavarotti biopic will be screening in competition as part of the Official Selection, and that the Oscar-winning filmmaker will also take part in an on stage chat.
Other stars appearing to discuss their role in the movie business include French auteur Olivier Assayas and author and screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis. The complete line-up will be announced at a press conference on 4 October.
The Rome Film Festival will run from 17 to 27 October.
