Bill Nighy nominated for British Animation Award

Actor Bill Nighy is an unlikely contender for a top prize at this year’s (14) British Animation Awards. The Love Actually star is nominated for Best Voice Performance for his turn in The Hungry Corpse, a spooky cartoon released last year (13).
He will be up against veteran voice actors Morwenna Banks and Tim Dann for their hit children’s TV shows Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and Compost Corner respectively.
Other animated projects nominated for prizes include the remake of festive TV classic The Snowman, and The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!, which featured the voices of Hugh Grant and Martin Freeman. The films are both up for Best Long Form Animation award.
The winners will be announced in London on 7 March (14).
