Billie Eilish and Blondie to be honoured at ASCAP Pop Music Awards

Rising singer Billie Eilish is set to receive the prestigious Vanguard Award at the 2019 ASCAP Pop Music Awards.
The top prize recognises the pop newcomer, whose debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, hit the top of the U.S. Billboard 200 chart on Sunday (07Apr19), as an innovator shaping the future of music.
She will pick up the honour alongside her songwriting and production partner, her brother FINNEAS, at the 16 May (19) ceremony in Beverly Hills, California.
Previous recipients of the award include Janelle Monae, and the Beastie Boys.
Meanwhile, Electric Light Orchestra star Jeff Lynne will be presented with the Founders Award for songwriters and composers, and rockers Blondie will be feted with the Golden Note Award in celebration of their career achievements, reports Billboard.
