Billie Eilish and Stevie Nicks lead stars raising funds for aspiring female rockers

Female musicians including Billie Eilish and Stevie Nicks are selling off memorabilia to raise funds to help women and transgender youths get their start rock.

Billie, Stevie and others like Pink, Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, Charli XCX, Fergie, Joan Jett, and Annie Lennox have donated instruments and signed memorabilia to the week-long Girls Rock Reverb Gives Auction, which will benefit charities empowering young female and gender non-conforming musicians.

The Bad Guy hitmaker, 17, has donated a signed Fender ukulele, while the Fleetwood Mac legend has gifted a signed microphone. Joan’s sneakers and Reba McEntire’s autographed cowboy boots are also part of the sale.

Linda Perry, who has donated an acoustic guitar given to her by British singer Natasha Beddingfield, said in a statement posted on the Reverb website: “I want young girls to know that there are so many ways that they can contribute to the music industry. They can be producers, writers, CEOs, and managers. There are very powerful positions in the business that need to be filled by powerful young women.”

Others participating include Patti Smith, Mavis Staples, Kelly Clarkson, Tegan and Sara, Regina Spektor, Chvrches, Norah Jones, Charli XCX, Bonnie Raitt, Loretta Lynn, Cat Power, Alison Mosshart, and Evanescence. Concert tickets and meet-and-greet experiences are also available.

Rock camps for girls across the U.S., as well as in Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Serbia, Columbia, and the U.K. will all benefit from the sale, which runs from May 21 to 28, 2019.
