Billie Eilish sketched ‘janky’ clothing line on Google downloads

Singer Billie Eilish used her random Google download sketches to create her extremely successful clothing line.
The 17-year-old pop music prodigy debuted her streetwear brand Blohsh in early 2018, and it has since ballooned into must-have trends, developing a massive following, but the Ocean Eyes hitmaker insists it started off as a sloppy personal hobby.
“I used to sketch all of the ideas I possibly could. I did it really janky,” she tells Billboard. “I’d download a picture of a white hoodie off Google, and then I would colour it myself and put the designs right where I wanted them.”
Blohsh production has been picked up by bosses at Bravado, the merchandise arm of Universal Music Group that works with heavy-hitters like Kanye West and Lady Gaga, and a special fanny pack and bandana from the brand has been designed for Coachella attendees who purchased last-minute surprise ticket passes for the Indio, California music festival next month (Apr19).
Billie, who will be performing during both weekends for the annual event, expects to see all types of fans in the audience sporting gear from her line when she performs.
“People f**k with the brand,” she says. “Fans wear it because they’re dope and (want to) look cool as hell.”
