Billy Joel has added two dates at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl to his 2014 comeback plans. The singer/songwriter announced last week (ends06Dec13) that he would be performing at Madison Square Garden in New York once a month throughout the next year – but he’s also planning to play on the West Coast.
His first announced dates are 17 and 22 May (14) at the Hollywood Bowl. The first concert will take place a week after the Piano Man turns 65 with a show at Madison Square Garden.
Joel was honoured by U.S. leader President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C. on Sunday night (08Dec13) as one of the recipients of this year’s Kennedy Center Honors.
