Blackalicious to release first album in 10 years

Rap duo BLACKALICIOUS are set to release their first album in 10 years.
Rapper Gift of Gab and producer Chief Xcel will release their fourth studio album independently in August (15).
Chief Xcel, real name Xavier Mosley, tells Rolling Stone, “Imani Vol. 1 is our fourth album and marks another milestone in our career.
“Each album we do together tends to be a journey within itself that represents a very specific chapter of our lives…”
The album will be the first instalment of a trilogy and it will feature collaborations with funk band Monophonics, vocalist Zap Mama and musician Bosko.
