The Surrogates star insisted on following in Jovovich’s footsteps and performing as many of his own stunts as possible to avoid looking like a wimp, but he suffered a hyper-extended knee and bruised ribs in the process.
He tells entertainment news publication ETonline.com, “I jumped in there because I can’t punk out. If Milla does everything, what am I going to say, ‘No, I can’t do that!’ Please.”
Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth installment of the sci-fi action franchise, which is based on the popular computer games, opens in U.S. theatres in September (12).
