Boston bombing suspect indicted on 30 charges

Surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been indicted for killing four people and conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction following his arrest in April (13). The 19 year old is believed to have planted the devices with his older brother Tamerlan near the finish line at the famous race on 15 April (13), claiming three lives and leaving more than 260 injured as two explosions rippled through the crowds.
They went on the run as authorities in Massachusetts launched a massive manhunt for the suspects, who allegedly shot and killed a police officer after a confrontation on 18 April (13), and Dzhokhar was captured the next day (19Apr13) – hours after the brothers were engaged in a late night shoot-out with cops, which resulted in the death of 26-year-old Tamerlan.
The remaining suspect has been held in custody ever since, and on Thursday (27Jun13) the U.S. Attorney General announced the teenager had been indicted by a federal grand jury on a total of 30 counts, including bombing a place of public use and malicious destruction of property resulting in death and conspiracy.
A number of the charges carry punishments of life imprisonment or the death penalty.
