The star of the recent TV movie revamp of Blue Lagoon, Thwaites will star alongside Jolie and Elle Fanning in the Sleeping Beauty adaptation.
Brits Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson and Kenneth Cranham are also onboard, according to Deadline.com.
Maleficent will be Oscar-winning production designer Robert Stromberg’s directorial debut.
