Bridges of Madison County musical to close on Broadway

The musical adaptation of The Bridges Of Madison County is set to close on Broadway, less than three months after opening night. The stage version of Robert James Waller’s popular 1992 novel began previews at the Schoenfeld Theatre in January (14), but will close its doors on 18 May (14).
The news comes days after the production garnered four Tony Award nominations, including lead actress for Kelli O’Hara and Best Original Score for composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown.
However, the musical won’t be going away forever – producers are reportedly preparing the show for a U.S. tour, slated to begin next autumn (15).
