Bring Me the Horizon stars to hike up Kilimanjaro

Bring Me the Horizon stars Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish are heading up Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.
The rockers will spend eight days in Tanzania trying to reach the summit to raise money for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton Hospital in England, where Fish’s infant son was recently treated after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
In a post on his JustGiving page, Fish explains: “On the evening of Sunday 21st August, our 4 day old baby Eliot suffered what we eventually found out was a Brain Haemorrhage. My wife Emma and I reacted as quickly as we could as soon as we began to feel his crying changed from what you would consider ‘normal’ to something else.
“We called an ambulance in the early hours of the morning and did our best to keep him calm, awake and alive. When we arrived at Basingstoke hospital Eliot had stopped breathing more than once and was having seizures. Emma held him in the ambulance and kept him alive even though she could feel him drifting away in her arms. The hospital staff put Eliot into a coma, took over his breathing and sedated him to get the seizure under control.”
Hours later the couple’s kid was transferred to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton Hospital, where he was kept under supervision for five days, during which time the rocker decided to “do something positive for the ward”.
Giving an update on the health of his son while launching the charity drive, Fish writes: “We still have a very long way to go and we are taking each day at a time… He is still alive to fight, he is breathing on his own and we are seeing small improvements every day. He is a little fighter and has shown amazing signs of recovery already, even at this early stage.
“We owe that completely to the Nurses, Doctors, Neurologists and staff at PICU.”
