British actress sentenced after attacking mum

British actress Jemma Keys has been sentenced to 175 hours of community service for assaulting her mother in an alcohol-fuelled attack. Keys, who starred in long-running British soap Hollyoaks, kicked and clawed her mother Julia at their home in Chelsea, London but claims she has no recollection of the event, which took place in May (13).
Julia told police she was too scared to go home after reporting her 28-year-old daughter, who had been cautioned for attacking her mother before.
The out-of-work actress admitted assault at Hammersmith Magistrates Court in the British capital and was ordered to pay $131.75 (£85) costs and a victim surcharge in addition to her sentence.
Magistrate Alexia Featherstonhaugh said, “Endless breaches of bail and probation appointments are either due to her chaotic life or a total disregard for the court.”
Keys was previously was convicted of drink-driving last year (13). Her father is controversial sports presenter Richard Keys.
