BTS score first U.K. number one album

K-pop superstars Bts have made U.K. chart history by hitting number one with their new album Map Of The Soul: Persona.
The boy band is the first-ever Korean act to top the albums countdown, replacing Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which falls to two after two weeks in first place.
The soundtrack to Hugh Jackman movie musical The Greatest Showman holds at three, while the Chemical Brothers debut No Geography at four, and Tom Walker rounds out the new top five with What a Time to Be Alive.
Meanwhile, Lil Nas X has ended Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi’s seven-week reign atop the U.K. singles chart as the rapper’s Old Town Road climbs to number one.
Capaldi’s Someone You Loved slips to two, while Bad Guy by Eilish remains at three.
Elsewhere in the chart, late DJ Avicii returns to the Top 40 at 12 with his first posthumous single, his Aloe Blacc collaboration SOS, with BTS and Halsey’s hit song Boy With Luv entering the rundown at 13.
