Calvin Klein chose Kate Moss to star in his 1993 Obsession campaign as he didn’t approve of models with big breasts.

The American designer tapped the British beauty to front his iconic perfume campaign over two decades ago, with photographer Mario Sorrenti helming the shoot.

Discussing what made him pluck out the petite model at the time, Klein explained it was her stand-out figure that made her appealing.

“I didn’t want these girls… who had big bosoms,” he told journalist George Wayne as part of an interview for Iris Covet Book. “They augment their bodies. They used artificial implants and things.

They were doing crazy things to their bodies. I found that offensive. I found it really unattractive, unhealthy and a bad message to send.”

The fashion expert recently unveiled his blast from the past advertisements for his brand’s latest fragrance, Obsessed, using outtakes of Moss from the Obsession venture.

The 43-year-old star recently discussed working with Klein all those years ago and being shot by Sorrenti, who was her boyfriend at the time.

“I think Calvin was really clever. He knew there was going to be something,” Moss told Harper’s Bazaar of the job, which took place in the Virgin Islands. “I knew it was a job, but I thought it was going to be a right laugh. It was the only time I got paid to go away. It’s never been like that since. Mario worked me like a dog. He was more professional than I was. He didn’t stop taking pictures even when I was sleeping. I was like, ‘Leave me alone.’ I’d wake up to the click of the Pentax. I don’t remember relaxing. I remember working.”
