Cameron Diaz designs shoe line

Actress Cameron Diaz is set to release her first-ever shoe collection. Last summer (14), the Bad teacher star signed on as the artistic director for fashion house Pour La Victoire and her line of sandals, work shoes and peep-toe booties will hit stores later this year (14).
She tells WWD.com, “When I first came to PLV, I saw the potential in it because it was a brand that didn’t really have its own identity. It was a little bit all over the place. I looked at it as an opportunity to help create that. This is very important to me. I’m not a person who does anything halfway.
Diaz will not appear in any marketing campaigns for the line, nor will it carry her name.
She continues, “I don’t want girls to aspire to be me. That’s not what this brand is about. It’s not about wearing a shoe I would wear. I want them to see themselves in this shoe.”
