Campbell not a fan of Forster’s ‘messy’ Quantum of Solace

The director relaunched the Bond franchise with Daniel Craig as the superspy in Casino Royale – but was left unimpressed by Marc Forster’s follow-up.

Campbell says, “I thought it (Quantum of Solace) was lousy… The story was pretty uninteresting (and)… I just thought, overall, it was a bit of a mess.”

But the filmmaker has every faith in Sam Mendes, who will be directing Craig in the next Bond film.

He tells Crave.com, “Sam Mendes is directing it and I’m sure it’ll be terrific.”
