Cara Delevingne supports teen’s campaign against deportation

British supermodel Cara Delevingne has backed a campaign to save a Mauritian teenager from deportation. Yashika Bageerathi moved to the U.K. in 2012 with her mother and brother to escape a violent relative, but she is due to be removed and returned home alone after officials Britain’s Home Office refused her appeal to remain.
The 19 year old’s classmates at her London school have been campaigning for her to be allowed to stay, and now Delevingne has called on Britain’s Home Secretary Theresa May to step in.
She tweets, “The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP, Home Secretary: #FightforYashika Stop this sixth form student being deported alone. She deserves a future!”
