Rising rap star Cardi B has reportedly landed her first film role.
The Bodak Yellow musician topped the U.S. charts last year (17), and is apparently now set to take on Hollywood by signing up to star in a new movie.
Editors at TMZ.com report that she will begin shooting the project in March, and could be earning upwards of $100,000 for her role. Further details about the film are yet to be announced.
A source told the gossip site that the 25-year-old star has had to turn down other opportunities that would have earned her between $100,000 and $200,000 because they clashed with filming.
Although this is her first movie role, Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, is no stranger to the camera, having starred in the reality series Love & Hip Hop and acted in the TV drama Being Mary Jane.
