They’re in a commercial for Frito-Lay that’s a win-win situation for everyone involved, including TV viewers.
Titled “Drew’s Party,” the commercial features “The Drew Carey Show” star hosting a Super Bowl party with his buds former Denver Broncos quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion Elway and four-time Super Bowl contender and former Buffalo Bills quarterback Kelly. In the spot, the men discover the in-pack game card “Find the Winning Plays.”
The commercial (which first aired New Year’s Eve on CBS during the AFC Wildcard Game) is part of a four-week campaign featuring Frito-Lay’s biggest ever consumer promotion, “Find the Winning Ways,” with 35 million chances to win prizes including official NFL merchandise, Visa/NFL gift cards of $20, $40 and $100, and (please stay calm) Super Bowl tickets for life.
As part of the partnership with Carey, Frito-Lay’s Doritos will be the exclusive sponsor of Carey’s first-ever pay-per-view comedy special.
“Doritos Presents Drew Carey’s Improv All Stars” is scheduled to air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Jan. 27, the eve of Super Bowl Sunday.
Now that’s definitely something to snack on.
