Carole Mallory details Robert De Niro and Peter Sellers trysts in new tome

The Stepford Wives star has penned Picasso’s Ghost (A Love Story), about her bed-hopping ways after the breakdown of her relationship with Pablo Picasso’s son Claude, and opens up about her trysts with a string of famous men.

In an excerpt of the tome obtained by the New York Post, she explains how she enjoyed a short-lived affair with De Niro after meeting up with the acting legend in the Chateau Marmont hotel in 1975, and goes into detail about their time in the bedroom.

She writes, “During lovemaking, he never stopped looking in my eyes… He had a butterfly tattoo that I later realised matched his flighty spirit. So did the fact he left his socks on”, before adding, “The following year he married Diahnne Abbott… I would have appreciated a phone call.”

Mallory also details her time with Brit Sellers, who struggled with depression throughout his life, explaining, “I think maybe he was too filled with self-loathing. Alcohol temporarily masked that and freed him from his demonic thoughts about himself.”

Mallory insists she was drawn to famous men to make her feel better about herself after Picasso called off their engagement: “I was jilted by Claude Picasso, and I spent most of my life trying to shore up my bad feelings about myself. A lot of my seeking out famous men was to prove I was OK. I felt terribly wounded when he jilted me. I felt validated by celebrities.”

The book was released via Amazon.com last week (25Jan13).
