Casting director Geno Havens dies at 75

Legendary casting director Geno Havens has died at the age of 75.
Havens passed away of complications from a stroke at USC Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday (29Apr16), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Havens is credited for helping to launch the careers of Dennis Quaid and Prince’s protege Apollonia. He studied as an actor at the University of Utah, but started working as a casting director after college.
He went on to work on films and TV series, including Days of Heaven, The Jerk and Baretta. Havens was also the director of creative development for Timepiece Entertainment.
