Charlie Hunnam signs on for A Million Little Pieces adaptation

Charlie Hunnam will finally get the chance to work with director Sam Taylor-Johnson after walking away from her Fifty Shades Of Grey movie.
The Crimson Peak star has signed on to join the filmmaker, her actor husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Giovanni Ribisi, and Billy Bob Thornton in another book-to-movie project – the adaptation of James Frey’s controversial A Million Little Pieces.
Blade Runner 2049 star Carla Juri will play the film’s female lead.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his wife adapted Frey’s book, which is loosely based on his life.
It was once heralded as a Book Club choice by Oprah Winfrey before Frey confessed it wasn’t a factual memoir and he had fabricated and embellished parts of his own experiences.
The controversy initially halted a film, but the book remained a bestseller.
Frey originally wrote a screenplay for Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company.
Hunnam was set to portray Christian Grey in Sam Taylor-Johnson’s Fifty Shades of Grey movie but had to back out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Jamie Dornan went on to portray Grey.
