Charlize Theron is “so humbled” to play a role in the new Fast And Furious sequel after it smashed worldwide records to land the biggest opening weekend in history.

The Oscar winner plays the villain in The Fate of the Furious, joining franchise stars Vin Diesel, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson for the eighth installment of the street racing films.

The action movie, which also features Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Helen Mirren, and Scott Eastwood, grossed an estimated $532.5 million to debut at number one globally following its release on Friday (14Apr17), and Charlize cannot believe how successful the film has already become.

“I am so humbled to just have the smallest little part in all of this,” the actress told E! News. “I thank you everybody at (production studio) Universal and The Fast and Furious family.”

It is not yet clear if Charlize’s high-tech terrorist character Cipher will rev up for another round in Fast and Furious 9, but she is not opposed to reprising the role if asked.

“I don’t know, I don’t know,” she replied when asked if she will return in the follow-up. “If they don’t (invite me), I’m going to tell them you said I can.”

Charlize is sure to have the support of her co-star Vin, whose onscreen alter ego Dominic Toretto is seduced by Cipher to betray those closest to him.

The action man previously insisted he didn’t object to the number of takes director F. Gary Gray had to shoot to capture his steamy kiss with Charlize on camera.

“I was definitely not complaining,” he told USA Today. “Gary shot that every which way but loose… Charlize Theron is not a bad kissing partner to have. There are worse things that can happen to you.”
