Charlize Theron is set to headline and produce an adaptation of Karen Cleveland’s novel Need to Know.
The actress will portray a CIA analyst protecting her family when an investigation into a Russian sleeper cell goes awry in the Netflix thriller.
Author Cleveland worked as a CIA analyst prior to becoming a writer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film is one of several upcoming projects to feature Theron – the Oscar-winner will soon be seen opposite James McAvoy in The Coldest City and she’ll appear as the villain in the next installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise, The Fate of the Furious. She also serves as executive producer of the upcoming Netflix series Girlboss.
