Charlotte Church criticises sexy stars

Outspoken Welsh singer Charlotte Church has taken aim at Rihanna over her provocative music and racy image, comparing her single Rude Boy to “a porn soundtrack”. The Crazy Chick hitmaker is not a fan of pop acts who bare their bodies in videos, and has vowed to keep covered up in her own promos.
She tells London’s Time Out magazine, “I don’t want to be a sex object at all – so no legs, no cleavage. There (are) enough women selling that as music… Rude Boy by Rihanna – it’s basically a porn soundtrack!
“I’d rather say, I don’t care about the commercial side of it, I don’t care about the money. Because hopefully that will mean longevity, rather just being a flash-in-the-pan child star.”
The former classical singer, who now has two kids of her own, admits she is still trying to live down her party girl reputation.
She adds, “It’s mostly to do with the whole tabloid image of me that was created. And I say ‘created’ purposefully. But then I blurred the lines myself. I did a couple of pretty cr**py poppy albums, and the TV show, and almost fed into that tabloid caricature.
“I was jaded from everything: being overexposed, and tabloid fodder. And also from being pushed around by guys in suits. And I just thought: ‘Oh f**k this, I’m going to go and have some babies.'”
