Charlotte Rampling boards Dune remake

Movie veteran Charlotte Rampling has been cast alongside Timothee Chalamet in director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune remake.
The British star will play the Reverend Mother Mohiam in the movie based on Frank Herbert’s novels, which were first published in 1965.
Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, and Stellan Skarsgard will also appear in the movie, which revolves around the battle for a drug called Melange, which offers users heightened consciousness and an extended lifespan, while making interstellar travel possible.
David Lynch adapted the novel in 1984, but his movie, which featured Sian Phillips as Mohiam, was not a success and bombed at the box office upon its release, grossing just $30.9 million (£24 million) from a $40 million (£31 million) budget.
It is, however, now considered a cult classic.
