Charmed creator sues CBS over lost profits

Burge’s contract for the series, which starred Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano and ran from 1998 to 2006, gave her a salary as well as a portion of the show’s proceeds.

But the writer alleges she was cheated out of millions of dollars due to faulty accounting, according to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (30Mar11) and obtained by the Hollywood Reporter.

Burge claims executives at CBS Studios failed to allow a full audit of the series, but that her auditors managed to find “substantial underreporting of income” she is owed.
