Cher’s mum makes U.S. chart debut

Cher’s mother can now boast her own singing success after her debut musical offering entered the U.S. charts. The Believe hitmaker’s mum Georgia Holt recorded her first studio album in the 1980s with members of Elvis Presley’s band, but it has taken her until she is 87 to finally release it.
Honky Tonk Woman made its chart debut at number 13 on the Heatseekers Albums countdown and at number 43 on the Top Country Albums list.
The record features a duet with her famous daughter on the track I’m Just Your Yesterday, as well as renditions of Love Me Tender and Cryin’ Time.
