Cheryl considering a new direction post-baby – report

Cheryl is reportedly fielding lucrative offers to join the “mummy market” since welcoming her first child.
The former Girls Aloud singer’s musical career has quietened considerably in recent years, and according to editors at The Sun she is considering tapping into the growing market for celebrity mums following the example of the likes of mummy mogul Myleene Klass who has a successful children’s line with Mothercare.
Cheryl’s last single Human was released in 2015, and peaked at No.70, while her album of the same name highest chart placing was seventh in 2014.
A source told the news outlet that while music is still Cheryl’s passion now her baby son with One Direction star Liam Payne has come along, it may no longer be her main focus. And she will prove to be a big draw in the baby market should she want to get involved.
“Cheryl concedes she can’t compete with the big names in the charts,” the source told The Sun. “She still wants to make music and was in the studio during the early days of her pregnancy. But it’s not her No1 focus any more, even though making music remains a huge passion.
“She is the new face on the baby market and has already been inundated with offers to be the face of baby products and various ranges.”
Cheryl and Liam confirmed the arrival of their bundle of joy on Saturday evening (25March17) by sharing a picture of him cradling the newborn son against his chest on Instagram on the eve of Mothering Sunday.
“It was perfect for her image to announce the news in time for Mother’s Day,” the source explained to the publication.
Liam, 23, has since thanked fans for their well wishes on Twitter on Monday night and he returned on the early hours of Tuesday morning to joke about how many times his son’s nappy has needed to be changed.
“When the fourth nappy happens in 5 minutes,” he wrote next to a GIF image of David Schwimmer’s character Ross Geller from TV show Friends yelling “NO! No, no!”
Liam and Cheryl began dating in 2016 years after first meeting on The X Factor UK.
