Chicago musical director replaced following suicide scandal

The musical director of Broadway hit Chicago has been replaced following a suicide scandal over the summer (18), according to reports.
Producers launched an investigation after cast members accused Leslie Stifelman and director Walter Bobbie of bullying Jeff Loeffelholz, who took his own life in June.
She was not found to be at fault, but according to Page Six the stars of the show were upset when the show went on with Stifelman at the helm and now sources tell Page Six Stifelman has been replaced by Rob Bowman.
Bobbie has reportedly remained with the production.
“Much of the information that you have… is inaccurate, but I suspect that what you are being told varies from person to person. With that said, and for your use, if you choose to report, feel free to use this as my comment,” Stifleman told Page Six.
But it’s clear she’s no longer with the musical – a spokesman for the producers of Chicago says, “Leslie Stifelman left to pursue other opportunities and the parting was amicable.”
