Chief Keef evicted from Illinois home – report

Embattled rapper Chief Keef has moved out of his rented house in Illinois amid reports of his eviction. The hip-hop newcomer, real name Keith Cozart, hit headlines earlier this year (14) after reportedly falling $30,000 (£18,750) behind on rent payments for his Highland Park home.
He agreed to settle the bill by 20 April (14), but a court order for forcible entry was obtained in May (14) and on Tuesday (10Jun14), officers from the Lake County Sheriff’s office entered the home to search the building.
However, the owner of the house, Bal K. Bansal, claims he was not evicting Cozart, insisting the move was “mutual” as the star had been a good tenant, reports the Chicago Tribune.
The rapper’s neighbours had differing opinions on having Chief Keef live nearby, with one local resident, Ken Cooper, stating, “It’s been horrible. They were certainly not good tenants.”
The eviction news emerges four months after Keef completed a 90-day court-ordered stint in rehab for drug issues.
