The star fulfilled a childhood dream by writing the children’s novel, which has now been published, but he was so busy with his acting career, he had to dedicate his free time to the task.
Colfer tells Entertainment Weekly, “When I was writing the book, I was on tour with Glee, planning a movie that I shot, and going into filming season three. I would write between scenes on set and I have pictures of me walking off the stage during a performance totally covered in sweat and sitting at the computer. They’re touching up my make-up and doing my hair while I write.”
