Chris Evans and wife Natasha welcome twins

Chris Evans has become a father for the fourth time after welcoming twins with his wife Natasha Shishmanian.
The British radio and television presenter, 52, confirmed the happy news in a statement read out live on air on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show on Thursday (20Sep18), with stand-in presenter Sara Cox confirming the couple had welcomed boy-girl twins.
“Ping and Pong arrived safe and well last night. Ping popped her head out at 22.10, Pong popped his head out 12 minutes later, at 22.22,” Chris shared in the statement. “Both healthy, both happy, strong and blessed, as was mum throughout.”
Extending his thanks to the staff at a hospital in England, he added: “Infinite thanks to the amazing team at Frimley Park Hospital – amazing people, amazing professionals helping dreams come true. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Cooing over a picture of the brand new babies dressed in tiny bobble hats, Sara gushed: “It sounded like a night to remember,” and added: “Huge congrats, beautiful news.”
Chris, who announced his departure from the breakfast show earlier this month, delighted listeners on Wednesday by calling his wife live on air to check up on her in hospital ahead of her labour being induced later that day.
Though admitting she had been an “emotional wreck” earlier that week, Natasha, 38, said she was now feeling ready to take on childbirth.
“I feel like I’m in control today, I’m pumped, I’m ready, let’s do this,” she shared with her husband’s listeners.
The two new additions, which Chris explained were conceived through “one last hurrah” at IVF treatment, will join the couple’s sons Noah, nine, and Eli, six, as well as being half-siblings to Chris’ 30-year-old daughter Jade, whom he shares with ex-fiancee Alison Ward.
