Chris Evans doesn’t worry about running into ex-girlfriends because he’s never had a bad break-up.
The 35-year-old actor has a string of high-profile exes, including Kate Bosworth, Minka Kelly, Jessica Biel and, most recently Jenny Slate. But anytime a relationship comes to an end, Chris doesn’t panic himself about whether or not he’ll ever see the person again, because it’s always finished amicably.
“It’s very rare,” he told America’s Elle magazine of good break-ups. “But I’ve had no bad break-ups in my life. Typically, if I see an ex, I give a big hug, and it’s wonderful to catch up.”
The Captain America star also opened up to the publication about his reasons for wanting to stay friendly with his exes.
“If you’re ever fortunate enough to love someone and have them love you back, it’s worth protecting that,” he explained. “It’s rare that someone can truly know you. And if you’ve broken through that kind of wall, I think it’s important to value that.”
Chris and Jenny, a somewhat unlikely couple, began dating last year (16) after meeting on the set of new drama Gifted. And while their relationship didn’t work out, both actors have remained positive about their former partners and the split.
“She’s my favourite human,” the Captain America star previously told People.com. “She’s the best. I’ve never ever ever met someone in my life who has a mastery of the English language the way she does.
She’ll give you one sentence and there’s no fat to it. You’re like, ‘You just chose such an unbelievable collection of words that beautifully articulate what you say.'”
Zootopia star Jenny has been equally gushing about Chris, who she recently branded a “lovely guy”.
