Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson split – report

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have reportedly split after almost two years of dating.
According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, the Coldplay frontman, 42, parted ways from the Fifty Shades of Grey star last month (May19).
The surprising split comes months after Chris splashed out on a Malibu beach house to share with the 29-year-old actress. The pair had even solidified their relationship by getting matching infinity sign tattoos.
Sources close to the British singer said they were shocked at news the romance was over, as the couple had even discussed marriage.
“Chris and Dakota were very easygoing and always seemed really happy together,” one insider said. “There was talk of engagement but now he says they have gone their separate ways, which has come as a real surprise to everyone.”
Chris and Dakota were last seen together in public back in November (18), shortly after spending the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. with the rocker’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their kids Apple, 15, and Moses, 13.
The pair first fuelled rumours they were dating when they were spotted on a sushi date in October 2017, and have remained tight-lipped over their romance ever since.
Dakota previously told Tatler magazine she is “very happy” but refused to discuss her relationship with the British musician any further.
Back in April, YouTube fashion and beauty editor Derek Blasberg shared a snap of himself, Gwyneth and Dakota at dinner together in Los Angeles.
“Consciously throupling,” he jokingly captioned the picture on Instagram, in a cheeky reference to Gwyneth and Chris announcing they were “consciously uncoupling” at the time of their split in 2014.
A rep for Chris and Dakota has yet to comment on the split report.
