Chrissy Teigen slams online troll who called her ‘chubby’

Chrissy Teigen has hit back at an online troll who called her “chubby” and told her she “needs to get to the gym”.

The Twitter user, named Jose, launched the unprovoked attack on Monday (15Apr19), and directly tagged the presenter and model in the vile tweet.

“Tiegan (sic) likes to attack people, so i’m attacking her weight, chubby needs to get to the gym,’ he wrote.

Chrissy, 33, was quick to clap back at the critic and insisted that she wouldn’t let his words affect her.

“I hate to say this but… you are not a small person?” the star replied. “Also I don’t care about my weight sooooo this does not hurt.”

The star, who is married to All of Me hitmaker John Legend and welcomed the couple’s son Miles, now 11-months-old, last May, has previously been forced to defend her postpartum figure online.

Taking to the social media late last month, the star revealed she was 20lb (9kg) heavier than before she was pregnant with Miles, and stated she was not looking to lose the weight.

“‘How do you eat like this??’ – basically I am 20 pounds heavier than I was before miles,” she began. “He’s 10 months old, I never lost the last bit because I just love food too much. Just coming to terms with my new normal, when I had this certain number for so long!”

Chrissy continued to share that she feels happier at her current weight, and insisted that she’d rather be heavier and happier than suffering from postpartum depression, as she did after giving birth to daughter Luna in 2016.

“The thinnest I’ve ever been was right after (giving birth to) Luna,” the star continued. “Postpartum depression. I’LL TAKE THESE POUNDS AND THIS FEELING!”
