Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan to star in Maze Prison escape movie

Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan have signed on to star in Jim Sheridan’s film about the Maze Prison escape in Northern Ireland.
Sheridan will direct Murphy and Dornan in H-Block. Pierce Brosnan is also in talks to join the film, according to Deadline.com. Sheridan co-wrote the script with Nic Sheff.
The movie will centre on the 1983 prison break in County Antrim, when 38 inmates escaped. Only 19 were re-captured after the incident. 20 prison guards were injured during the escape and one died of a heart attack after being stabbed.
Murphy will play the leader of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) prisoners, while Dornan will portray another inmate. If Brosnan signs on, he will star as the Maze Prison warden.
It is unclear when the movie will begin filming.
