Claire Foy: ‘Thank you Canada for Ryan Gosling’

Claire Foy has thanked Canada for giving the world Ryan Gosling.

The British actress plays the wife of Gosling’s Neil Armstrong in acclaimed new movie First Man, and now she’s gushing about the guy.

Revealing she now understands why fellow actresses like Emma Stone love working with Ryan, Foy tells news show Entertainment Tonight, “I literally feel like God has arrived (when he walks in a room).
“He’s amazing… Well done Canada. He really is the most generous, kindest, funny actor. It’s just incredible to work with him.”

Stone, who has worked with Ryan on La La Land and Crazy, Stupid, Love is also a huge fan, admitting recently she couldn’t imagine her life without him.

“He’s so special,” she said of her pal and co-star. “It makes me emotional. He’s so talented but he’s such a great person to work with because he’s so collaborative and excited about the process. He’s taught me a lot about being really generous.”

They’ve been friends for years.

“We really hit it off,” she added. “We’ve been just pals ever since. He is a wonderful person, but also an incredible actor.”

And even Gosling’s First Man director Damien Chazelle, who also worked with the actor on La La Land, has gushed about his leading man, explaining he’s a great guy to have on a film set.

“I think he creates a certain environment that makes everybody feel creatively involved and it feels like a true collaboration, but he has great vision,” the filmmaker says.

“He’s able to work at these enormous scales but still have the environment feel intimate and creative. So, I think we all are very lucky to work on his movies.”
