The lensman, who is famous for his provocative shots of Eastwood, Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton, among other celebrities, appears aloof in the promo for the new reality show, which debuts in America on Sunday (20May12), and appears to pull a fiery prank on a pal.
Eastwood’s stepmother Dina appears on camera, calling Shields “dangerous”, but both women have since come to the snapper’s defence, insisting he’s not what he appears to be in the trailer for the show.
Promoting the series on Access Hollywood Live on Thursday (17May12), Francesca says, “He’s a great guy. He looks like he’s not a great guy in the promo, but he is probably the most amazing person I’ve ever met. The whole family loves him.
“There is something that happened; it comes later in the season and you guys will all get to see it.”
But Dina admits though she loves her stepdaughter’s boyfriend, Shields often has her heart racing: “It’s traumatic for a stepmomma.”
The family’s new reality series features a fight between Shields and Dina over an injured 14-year-old girl.
Francesca recalls, “They’re both very strong personalities, girl gets a bloody nose, they both try to go help and it ends up being who’s gonna be the person helping. All of a sudden (there was) a huge fight. It was crazy.”
But Dina insists, “We’re good. He’s great.”
