Colin Firth Declares He Won’t Work with Woody Allen Again

Colin Firth has announced that he will never collaborate with Woody Allen again.

The pair worked together in Woody’s film Magic in the Moonlight (13), a year before the director’s adopted daughter Dylan Farrow published an open letter alleging him of molesting her in an attic.

“I wouldn’t work with him again,” he said in a statement on Thursday (18Jan18), according to The Guardian. Colin’s announcement was made the same day Dylan, the daughter of Woody’s ex Mia Farrow, gave her first televised interview speaking about the alleged abuse.

Speaking to Gayle King on CBS, Dylan, 32, insisted that her allegations are entirely honest.

“I am credible and I am telling the truth,” she insisted. “I think it’s important that people realize that one victim, one accuser, matters. And that they are enough to change things.”

Woody issued a fresh statement following his daughter’s TV appearance stating that Dylan’s claims were thoroughly investigated by two organizations which concluded that no molestation had taken place. He also accused her mother Mia of “coaching” her.

Dylan’s older brother Moses has said that he witnessed their mother doing exactly that – relentlessly coaching Dylan, trying to drum into her that her father was a dangerous sexual predator,” the 83-year-old said. “It seems to have worked – and, sadly, I’m sure Dylan truly believes what she says.”

Many other high-profile Hollywood stars have said they regret working with Woody, including Mira Sorvino and Greta Gerwig. And actors Rebecca Hall and Timothée Chalamet, who star in the director’s next film, A Rainy Day in New York, have pledged their salaries to the Time’s Up movement.

However, 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin has defended Woody and criticized the stars who have denounced him.
