Funnyman Artie Lange is facing drug possession charges following an arrest last Sunday (12Mar17) outside his home in New Jersey.
The comedian, who stars in new HBO show Crashing, was busted after police in Hoboken found cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia both on him and in his car.
He was taken into custody and booked on three separate charges before he was released, reports TMZ.com.
Lange, who has a long history of substance abuse and reportedly tried to commit suicide in 2010, took to Twitter shortly after the news hit headlines on Friday (17Mar17), and assured fans he was doing well.
“Hey guys. I was arrested. I’m doing great. Physically too!,” he posted, before praising the “professional” arresting officers for treating him so well during the incident.
Lange, who rose to fame as Howard Stern’s sidekick, then insisted he was doing his best to stay healthy: “I wish I could tell u how my story ends,” he tweeted. “I hope it’s being old & smiling cuz of unique memories. But I’m such a flawed person guys. Tryin (sic)!”
