Comedian Jorge Luz dies

The funnyman had been receiving treatment for a heart condition at the Providencia Health Clinic in Buenos Aires, but he suffered a pulmonary infection and passed away on Saturday night (14Jul12).

The brother of late actress Aida Luz began his career in radio, before landing small acting roles on local soap operas and films.

He toured as a member of the popular Spanish comedy troupe Los Cinco Grandes del Buen Humor (The Five Good Mood Greats) and became known for his impersonation of late Argentine actress Tita Merello.

Luz was also famed for his work with fellow funnyman Jorge Porcel, who teamed up with him for 1980s TV show The Tota and Porota.
