‘Contagion’ Fashion Showdown

Silver Screen Sirens
Silver Screen Sirens
There must be a contagion among silver screen stars—they all seem to look great in the color. Here Kate looks like a silver Oscar in her two-piece set. Marion, on the other hand, is a creature from the Planet Sparkle. Can we visit there? Gwyneth, daughter of Blythe Danner, looks like she was born to wear that dress. Maybe because it perfectly matches her hair?

Shiny Starlets
Shiny Starlets
If Kate’s Titanic locket was turned into a dress, it might look like this pretty blue gown. Gwyneth’s peekabra ruffly dress looks a bit like a sexy nightie, but we like it.

Long-Sleeved Ladies
Long-Sleeved Ladies
Nothing makes a woman look more like a lady than a long-sleeved goddess gown. However, Gwyneth’s white dress might have looked a little too bride-like if it didn’t have that naughty net, and Kate’s might have looked funereal had she not rocked that cool studded waistline.

Blueprints
Blueprints
We don’t know who has the blueprints, but we do know that Gwyneth’s short, Kate Moss-esque floral dress looks fresh and fabulous. Unfortunately, Marion’s wild, feathered print dress—especially with that weird perm—makes us wish for a different print altogether.

Pretty in Pink
Pretty in Pink
Both Marion and Gwyneth definitely give Molly Ringwald a run for the pink crown. We love how Marion’s jet-black hair sets off her piles of pink petals, and Gwyneth’s bubblegum shoes are a fun pop against her blush colored dress.

Who Wears Short Shorts?
Who Wears Short Shorts?
Gwyneth and Kate wear short shorts! We’re awfully glad they did. And although they went for opposite shades, both starlets have discovered the key to wearing shorts after the age of 25 is to pair them with a conservative blazer. Or maybe blazers with shorts are just contagious?

Beige Babes
Beige Babes
Gwyneth looks great in her poofed-sleeve little number. However, while we like the sexy curve-hugging quality of Kate’s dress, we think the color of her lipstick makes her look a little like she might be contagious for real.

Shoulder Showdown
Shoulder Showdown
These ladies all have super sexy shoulders, and we’re glad they showed them off! However, Gwyneth and Kate’s black asymmetrical minis are a bit expected, while Marion’s white feathery one is a bird of a different feather.

Peekaboo for Big Girls
Peekaboo for Big Girls
Marion’s emerald gown shows a lovely peek of her black slip—ooh la la—while Gwyneth’s tiny flash of skin at her waistline leaves us craving more. Both these two are experts at fashionista peekaboo, clearly.

Black & White and Red All Under
Black & White and Red All Under
Nothing looks better than black and white on the red carpet. We love Marion’s glittering electric bolt, and depending on which angle Kate is photographed at, girlfriend can play like she’s got a whole different dress on.

Skin Match
Skin Match
If Gwyneth and Marion were to have a contest comparing whose dress best matched her hair and skin, Gwyneth would win. We are not sure that’s a good thing

Grey Guns
Grey Guns
Both Gwyneth and Marion pulled out the big guns and wore sexy grey—in this case, a fun wrap dress for Gwyneth and a 70’s style mini for Marion. Luckily, they both also pulled out their biggest weapon of all: sizzling legs!

Not-So-Basic Black
Not-So-Basic Black
Black, boring? Not with Kate and Marion around! Kate looks Old Hollywood chic in this curve-hugging satin dress with matching clutch, and Marion looks edgy and cool in futuristic mini with motorcycle ankle booties.

Goddess Garden
Goddess Garden
Gwyneth is lovely, if a bit solemn, in this long, delicate lace gown with the velvet waistband. Kate looks like she got lost on the way to garden party she wasn’t exactly sure she wanted to attend in the first place, but she’s still a goddess of course.

Bad-Ass Black
Bad-Ass Black
There’s black, and then there’s black. Here all three leading ladies of Contagion wear that special shade of black that will kick your ass. From Kate’s tough vinyl criss-cross, to Marion’s Joan Jett-like jumpsuit, to Gwyneth’s up-to-here mini, we wouldn’t want to cross these three in a dark alley. Then again, maybe we would. Rawr!
