Correction:

In Tuesday’s edition, we incorrectly reported that Disney has never re-released its 1946 animated/live-action Song of the South. In fact, it re-released the film four times theatrically. However, after showing it for two weeks in 1986, it abruptly pulled the film and promised its critics that it would never release it again. The movie has never been distributed on home video in the U.S. (although it has been abroad) and has never been shown on television. A Splash Mountain ride based on the film at Walt Disney World was considerably altered after critics protested.
