Little Carrie Janik, who is battling a brain tumour, was stunned when Cosgrove showed up in her Chicago, Illinois hospital room on Friday (28Jan11) to sing three songs at her bedside.
Janik’s mum Katrina had contacted iCarly bosses about organising a visit after the seven year old’s condition took a turn for the worse in September (10), and producers offered her free tickets to a concert.
She was unable to attend the gig so Cosgrove decided to pay a special visit to Janik ahead of her show in the city on Friday (28Jan11).
Katrina explains, “Carrie was diagnosed with a brain tumour when she was 18 months old, and she’s been battling cancer ever since.
“We asked her what she wanted more than anything in the world, and she said she wanted to meet iCarly.
“To be able to give Carrie this gift is something that she really wanted.”
