Prosecutors dropped four counts of harassment against an obsessed Ashanti fan on Thursday (22May14). Devar Hurd was indicted on 14 counts of criminal contempt, stalking and aggravated harassment in July (13) for allegedly sending the R&B singer sexually explicit messages on Twitter.com.
The 35 year old appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court in New York City on Thursday, and prosecutors dismissed four counts of second-degree aggravated harassment against him.
He still faces 10 counts, including felony stalking, according to the New York Daily News. Hurd pleaded not guilty to the charges last year (13).
