Actor Courtney B. Vance is set to portray a real-life criminal in new drama series Heist 88.
The star, who won an Emmy for his portrayal of late defense attorney Johnnie Cochran in hit drama The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, is taking a walk on the wrong side of the law to play convicted bank heist mastermind Armand Moore, who was busted in 1988 for persuading four young employees at the First National Bank of Chicago to try and embezzle $70 million (£52.5 million).
The project, written by Dwayne Johnson-Cochran, will reunite Vance with his American Crime Story director Anthony Hemingway.
All three men will executive produce the series, which is currently in development with officials at FX, the same broadcaster behind American Crime Story.
A launch date has yet to be announced.
