Courtney Love made her return to the stage at the YOLA DIA festival in Los Angeles over the weekend (18Aug19) with a throwback set of Hole tracks and covers of Echo & the Bunnymen and Fleetwood Mac songs.
Love last performed in public as part of a Leonard Cohen tribute show almost two years ago, but she was back on form at Lykke Li’s event, which also featured sets from Cat Power and Megan Thee Stallion.
Backed by The Chateau Band, the rocker’s set at the Los Angeles State Historic Park featured Hole hits Miss World and Malibu, as well as a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Gold Dust Woman, which Hole covered for The Crow: City Of Angels movie soundtrack, and her rendition of Echo & The Bunnymen’s The Killing Moon.
